  1. Classroom Teacher (Teaching Year 1) – Commencing Term 3, 2021 (or earlier)

Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Fixed Term, 12 Month (Maternity Leave) position

We are looking for someone who will:

  • become an active member of a team which provides high quality education and care to students at the school and who will champion the School
  • provide an explicit approach towards the teaching of literacy and numeracy
  • possess an exemplary understanding of best practice and sustain a deep commitment to implement rigorous, highly differentiated programmes
  • demonstrate a deep understanding of the role of data in informing teaching and learning.

  2. Music Teacher – Commencing Term 2 or Term 3 2021 (dependent on candidate availability)

Part-Time (0.3 FTE) Continuing position (Days: Mondays and Tuesdays)

We are looking for someone who has the enthusiasm and drive to build on an already thriving music program in a school with a strong focus on excellence. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, hardworking and Kodaly trained (at least Level 1) and have a thorough understanding of the Orff and Kodaly approaches. They will possess good communication skills and display the ability to connect and engage with young children. The applicant will be committed to working co-operatively with other music staff, maintaining a focus on delivering excellence in our music curriculum, teaching, learning and reporting.

Skills in either, or both, choral teaching and string playing would be highly advantageous.  The position can be flexible, according to the skills and loves you bring to the role.

A flexible and dynamic approach to teaching and learning, well-developed time management and organisational skills, VIT registration (or the ability to gain VIT registration) will be essential. The ability to play piano is an advantage. The successful applicant must be detail oriented, with excellent rehearsal time-management skills as well as strong verbal communication, organisation and logistical planning skills.
