Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge
The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is complete for another year and many students from Prep to Year 6 took part. Children from Year 3 to Year 6 were challenged to read 15 books. Children from Years Prep to Year 2 were encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers.
All children who met the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by current and former Victorian Premiers’. Christ Church Grammar School also has a ‘Fab 50” and ‘100 Club’. Students from Prep to Year Six who read 50 books for the Challenge will receive a ‘Fab 50’ certificate. Children from CCGS who read 100 books or more for the Challenge will become a member of the 100 Club and receive a special badge and certificate.
Congratulations to the 59 children here at Christ Church Grammar who have completed the Challenge. Of these, 28 students also became members of the C.C.G.S. “100 Club” this year. Over 4800 books were read by students taking part in the Challenge this year, so some amazing reading was done by all who participated. Well done!
