  • Part-Time (0.52 FTE: 8:15am to 12:15pm) during Term Time only 

Please note: This role is paid only during term time, meaning salary payments are for the weeks worked during the school term and spread across the working weeks of the year factoring in annual leave entitlements.

The Receptionist is the face of Christ Church Grammar School, responsible for managing all aspects of the front office to ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role provides exceptional customer service, supports the school's administrative functions and is primarily the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors.

Established in 1898, Christ Church Grammar School (CCGS) is a leading, inner-city, independent, coeducational school that provides an outstanding education from ELC 3-year-old to Year 6. Proud of their connection with Christ Church South Yarra and being the only coeducational Anglican parish primary school in Victoria, CCGS embeds the Anglican faith and ethos into daily practice while welcoming those of all faiths and none.

Key Selection Criteria. As a suitable candidate, you will demonstrate:

  1. Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to build strong relationships across the school community, including parents and external stakeholders.
  2. Proactive initiative, with the ability to anticipate needs and effectively prioritise tasks.
  3. Strong attention to detail, Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, including reviewing documents, identifying errors, ensuring consistency, and following procedures precisely.
  4. A self-directed and proactive work ethic, while also thriving in a team environment.
  5. Professional presentation and excellent customer service skills, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
